Gourmet and wellness journey around Australia – in Hong Kong!
(HONG KONG, 9 SEP 2021) – The annual Festival of Australia has returned! Taste gastronomic delights and discover Australia through a variety of experiences at select hotels, restaurants and high-end retailers from now until November. The festival brings the taste and aromas of Australia to Hong Kong, sourced from forests, mountains and Australia’s clean, blue oceans.
Australia is recognised for the freshness and diversity of its produce. Each state, with its own climate, harvests year-round so that your favourite delicacies are always available! With an extensive range of natural fresh produce and products free from chemicals, additives, and hormones, Australia is the top choice for culinary adventurers.
This year's Festival of Australia showcases wellness and food & beverage products across retail and hospitality venues. The line-up of events includes:
- “Australian Steakation” by Grand Hyatt Hong Kong from October to November
- “WANDERful Staycation” by The Mira Hong Kong from October to November
- Soothing Stone Massage by Australian endota™ at MiraSpa from October to November
- Australian Food Fair at 43 stores in Hong Kong through Market Place by Jasons, 3hreesixty and Oliver's The Delicatessen, and at 20 stores in Macau from 29 October to 25 November.
You can be immersed in Australia’s unmistakable landscapes with The Mira Hong Kong’s WANDERful staycations. Australia-themed rooms, which include exclusive amenities and delicious snack bars made with premium Australian natural products, have been devised by Tourism Australia to bring an Australian holiday to Hong Kong. To relax, Australia’s endota™ natural spa products can be sampled for the first time in Hong Kong at MiraSpa, while an Australian-style menu will feature fresh Aussie foods, wines and ciders at Yamm restaurant.
Grand Hyatt Hong Kong will offer its own Aussie experiences with the perfect “Steakcation”. Rooms will also feature a curated set of natural Australian amenities, while diners can feast on a 4-course dinner menu with world-leading Australian Wagyu beef, consumed with fine Aussie wines. An augmented reality photo booth will be available for an immersive experience in the Australian landscape. For added fun, guests can try their luck at taking home their own fluffy koala toy from a special claw machine provided by Tourism Australia.
With the Australian Food Fair, connoisseurs can continue to enjoy the foods they trust: Australian products that are high-quality, nutritious, safe, clean and sustainably produced.

Festival of Australia is coordinated by the Australian Consulate-General in Hong Kong – Austrade in close partnership with Tourism Australia, the State Governments of New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AustCham).
