Where to apply

Depending on the type of visa you are applying for, applications can be submitted online or at the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC).

Applying online

The Department of Home Affairs encourages clients to use online services where available through the Department's ImmiAccount portal.

Applying at the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Hong Kong

If you are not able to submit an online application, you may be able to submit your application in person or by mail to the AVAC in Hong Kong. Click here to see what applications can be lodged at the AVAC.

Note: All applications submitted at the AVAC will be assessed and decided by the Department of Home Affairs. Staff at the AVAC will have no involvement in the decision-making process nor knowledge of the application outcome.
