The Visa and Citizenship Office of the Australian Consulate-General Hong Kong is responsible for processing visa applications for clients residing in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Applicants living in the PRC must apply at the appropriate Australian Visa Office in the PRC, with the exception of Business Skills migration applications, which must be lodged in Hong Kong.

How to Make Enquiries

The visa and Citizenship Office will no longer be open to clients without appointment. Please see the Australian Visa Application Centre for more information –

Important Notice for clients who applied for a Student or a Working Holiday visa online:

Online Student and Working Holidays visa applications are not processed in Hong Kong and our office will not be able to respond to your enquiries relating to these applications.  If you have lodged an application and need to contact the processing office in Australia, please send an email to: - for Working Holiday online visa applications - for online Student visa applications

You should only contact the processing office if you have already lodged an application.  Please ensure that you provide your TRN in your email to assist the processing office in locating your application.

Please note that we are unable to accept emails with total files size larger than 5mb. Under current arrangements, no notification will be generated for emails exceeding 5mb which are not successfully received.
