Visa and migration
[ Character Requirements ]
To be granted a visa, applicants must be of good character. You will need to declare any criminal convictions on your visa application form regardless of when they occurred or whether they are considered spent under Hong Kong law. Failure to declare convictions may lead to refusal or cancellation of your visa. If you are in doubt you should declare the conviction. For any convictions you should include with your application a statement about them and your reasons for wishing to travel to Australia. You should also declare any charges laid against you that are awaiting legal action.
